review 1: what can I say about this book..... maybe that I was obsessed with it? that seems fair enough! It was a fast read. Too fast if you ask me. This book was everything that I hoped for when reading the back cover. There was only one thing I didnt enjoy about this book. And that was the ending. I mean, what the heck! Extremly lame. Im in hopes for a sequel. oh my gooooooood I would be the happiest girl in the world. who can I talk to about that? :-)
review 2: I found this an easy and flowing read. I loved the character of Oscar Banks. His narration was humorous and engaging. The love affair between Oscar and Nia was interesting with all its ups and downs and intensity. The novel's other characters of Sherman and Mandy were comic relief. What I didn't like abo
... moreut the book was the ending. Little man doesn't win. Oscar tries to fight the system with his father and looses everything including himself. I also thought Oscar's sacrifice to help Nia get to safety was all for nothing. I am sure it was a commentary on love being selfless, but Oscar didn't gain anything from this act, perhaps good karma. I wanted Oscar to be rescued from his father, instead of Oscar always rescuing others. I wanted Oscar to be reunited with Nia. This story is incomplete so the author should've written a second book in this series with a heroic and happy ending where Oscar wins. less
