review 1: MICHELLE'S REVIEW - With the rising popularity of the dark genre there seems to be a new dark romance around every turn.As a dark read enthusiast I was extremely excited for Deliver by Pam Godwin once I discovered that not only is the captive in this story a man, as we have occasionally seen, but even more so that the captor is a woman. What I found was that Deliver was in fact, as intriguing as it seemed. Not only is Deliver an enticing variation on the standard dark read but there are so many facets to this story that makes it both fascinating and at times shocking. There were a few jaw-dropping moments that you absolutely do not see coming. The back story and complications are complex and absorbing. And the connection and relationship that evolves between deliverer and s... morelave is unexpectedly beautiful and moving. My favorite quality of a dark read is when I can understand and empathize with a despicable or seemingly irredeemable character. Pam Godwin does just this and creates the quintessential anti-hero. How on earth did she get me to feel for and sympathize with Van? I went from contempt and loathing to curiosity and interest to actually feeling concern and compassion all while experiencing the underlying sensation that something just wasn’t right and it was completely spellbinding.Liv was an exceptional character. She was so strong and selfless. But it was Josh that really lured me in and captured my heart. He was such an impressive and extraordinary character. He was so strong, so pure, and so good. He was unwavering in his kindness, his trust, his integrity and his mercy.Deliver is a unique and thrilling story. It was action-packed and involved and while I did not know going in that there would be a sequel, I look forward to finding out where this story goes from here.
review 2: Wow. This book was mind blowing. It's not often that you read a dark read and the woman is in charge and the man is the slave. Joshua Carter is a young promising college football star. Liv is the Deliver of young males and females to thier owners. She finds them, captures them, trains them, and delivers them. She delivers the perfect sex slaves to thier masters after 10 weeks of training. This is an arrangement that she has to protect her family and it is all she knows. But once she meets Joshua and begins his training things may change. He wants to deliver her from herself. It was interesting reading a story from the slave trainer's point of view because usually you only read from the slave's point of view. Pam Godwin does a great job of keeping the reader guessing as to who is the bad guy, who is the good guy and what is really going on. The pull that Liv feels towards Joshua may be one her undoing. You feel sympathy for the experiences that have put her in the position of the Deliver and you understand why she is capturing and training these slaves. Liv is a strong force to be reckoned with yet at the same time she is vulnerable. What a rollercoaster ride this book was. Expect the unexpected and being on the edge of your seat through the entire story. Liv's story will get you feeling sorry for her and make you understand her choices as the deliver. Pam Godwin will keep you guessing till the end of the story. Will Joshua be Liv's savior or destroyer? less

I am quite unsure why I enjoyed it but I did. Not your typical fluffy happy book.
