review 1: Each chapter read like a different story with a common thread held together by the central character, Cathy. I liked the facts about the places she travels to at the start of each chapter. The information on the destinations and the details of the working of a hotel chain were well-researched. While I did feel that some chapters ended slightly abruptly,I must say that I read the book in one sitting because I wanted to know how it ended. Quite an unusual treatment to the whole story of a woman bound by chains of child abuse. I liked too the twist in the tale.
review 2: The beginning of each chapter reads like a young student's report slightly reworded from the encyclopedia. The end of each chapter has a little story unconnected to any other little story or to th
... moree setting. There is some vague, undeveloped, unresolved background tale about Cathy Dixon that does little to unify the book. Add to this the grammatical errors and typos and you may owner why I bothered to finish the book. Well, I'm a person who reads everything, including labels and directions. I kept hoping the book would get better. At least it was a quick read. less

Not fond of writing style. Gave 2 stars because I enjoyed a few of the short stories.

There is no real rhyme or reason for the chapters in this book.
