review 1: I truly enjoyed the last third of the book. The first two-thirds were difficult to continue reading, just slow and not super interesting. My favorite character was Tobias so when his story became the focus that was when I was really drawn in. I really didn't care for the ending with Saphora's new love interest. I thought it went just a little too far. Overall decent book, not one I would read again.
review 2: Some unexpected moments and others you could see coming a mile away. Overall it's a great story of revelation, redemption, forgiveness, and love. But the thing I loved most about this book was the beauty of falling apart without coming unraveled. The downside about this book is the characters don't get the depth they deserved. A few of the story lines
... moreseemed rushed through or somehow unfinished. It was good. less
