review 1: I love this book. I love the art style, I love the concepts, and I love the ending. Sadly, it is too wordy to use for a young story time without serious editing and the details in the drawings are too small for children at the back of the room, but I would like to try to use it someday. A bunch of monsters live in a castle and they build a big monster to prove who is the biggest and baddest monster. This monster is actually a sweet heart who is kind to everyone and always says "dank you" he then gets some sweets and heads to the beach where they relax and enjoy the sunset.
review 2: Being the brief tale of three monsters who live in a castleThere they fight all day about who's the biggest monster. It starts with showing off and ends with actual fights. One day
... morethey decide to fix this by making themselves a new monster: the biggest, baddest monster of all. Bringing it to life in the best Frankenstein's Monster tradition works just fine. It's what happens immediately after that throws their plans awry.A sweet little story. less

Lovely. Delightful, simple but witty tale, with very nice illos. Enjoyed very much. Love the ending.

3 monsters make a bigger, scarier monster who ends up teaching them to be kind and thankful.

The text tells a pleasant allegory, but the illustrations are rote.
