review 1: I love books that explore the relationships of mothers and daughters. Probably because I am a daughter and also the mother of daughters. But I love seeing how the past can cause unintended consequences to future generations. This was one such book. And I devoured it in less than two days. The writing is eloquent and lyrical. Simply wornderful. And Hutch! How can you not love a hero named Hutch? Just an all-around wonderful book with romance, history, and a family secret that could change the course of one's life. Loved!

... moreluffy read with a little bit of history thrown it. It read fast and I would recommend it for someone looking for a taste of the south. But it really is a light read. Nothing gripping or even all that mysterious about the story. Even the mystery man was obvious from very early on in the story. less
