review 1: This novel gets the WOW factor as far as I'm concerned it was absolutely rivetting I couldn't put it down. All the characters were so intriguing and certainly kept me interested from the very start. This book was very well written and at times I had to remind myself the character of the beautiful Dani wasn't really there after being murdered 20 years ago which remained unsolved and head Decetive Tom Bevan's who had known Dani since they were kids and to this day is still in love with her and Dani's dad still sees her and has real conversations with his beloved daughter. I adore the character of Tom he's a little nerdy but a decent good man he's sweet, caring and loveable and a top notch phenomenal detective. Unfortunately Dani had a dark side and got herself involved with ... moresome bad people. I can't wait to read the follow up to this wonderful story "Summer of Ghosts"❤❤❤
review 2: While I'm not a fan of British authors, I would definitely pick up anything by P.D. Viner again. This book is about the unsolved 20 year old murder of Dani Lancing and the after effects it had on her father, her mother, and the man who loves her. Bringing the ghost of the dead person into a story can be tricky, but this is done so well, she's just another one of the characters. There are so many unexpected twists, I couldn't begin to guess how this would end. Enjoyed it very much. less

I have no words right now. I didn't expect to love this book as much as I did. 5 stars plus.

Wonderful first mystery. Interesting points of view. The ending is a little too pat.

I'm on a bad roll. If I can't get three chapters I give up.
