review 1: (adult situations, sex) pp. 186 Like many others, I had serious problems with this book. First, the heroine starts out with about three pages of lustful thoughts one would not expect to find in a 19- year old virgin, but then she switches into immature, naïve mode for the rest of the book. Her brother is supposed to be keeping tabs on her (hence the reason she is still a virgin), but he does the worst job I have ever seen an over-protective, rich, powerful character do. And then there is the hero. If he is really all that suave, why does he insist on trying to get her drunk in order to get her in bed. At every turn he is constantly offering her something to drink. The characters actions aren't believable. There is a whole lot of lust but very little love on the part of ei... morether main character. There is the constant repetition - really, just give the "mother's charity" a name because that phrase is clunky when used three times on the same page.I know I had read one Penny Jordan a long time ago, and I didn't remember it being this bad. This book made me not want to read another.
review 2: Firstly,This heroine was by far the most TSTL heroine EVER...(the heroine’s immaturity annoyed me and ruined it for me. I just wished the entire book she would grow up.)2. there was so much inner dialogue .I skimmed so much of it.And the book had a sex scenes that was so god awful... 3. I didn't like any of the characters at allI am genuinely dissapointed in the entire book.I can not believe Penny Jordan submitted this book for publishing. less
