review 1: This is the first book of this genre I've ever read and I was pleasantly surprised, the constant plot twists kept me on my toes and as soon as I thought I had this book figured out it took me somewhere else! Loved the flashbacks, I thought they were slow moving at times compared to the "real time" chapters but that was probably the point. I would definitely recommend this book, even to novice mystery/ thriller readers like myself as it is considerably easy to follow and had me gripped at every page. I couldn't put it down.
review 2: I don't normally read crime fiction / psychological thrillers, so this was a diversion for me. I found it entertaining and quite enjoyable if not a little bit predictable. I struggled with the main character a little bit, finding hi... mores 'young' voice and his 'older' voice a little hard to reconcile. I know an 18 tear old and a nearly 40 year old think differently, but I almost felt like the voices belonged to two different people. I liked young George better than his contemporary self .... A good little holiday type read but don't spend too much on buying it! less
