review 1: My son chose this as one of his prizes for the summer reading program at the American Library in Paris. It is a lovely book. Perhaps geared more toward 3 and 4 year olds (mine is 5) but he enjoyed it very much all the same. The rhymes are good and the idea of stopping for hugs throughout the day is very sweet. The concept of time and that we do certain things at certain times of the day is introduced very well. The illustrations are wonderful.
review 2: This is a cute, short little book that could be read over and over. The illustrations are fun, the characters are sweet, and there's lots of hugging! The most interesting part of the book is how it sneaks in a lesson about time. The book moves through a day. The illustrations show what it's like in the morning, ... moreafternoon, evening, etc. The book gives some information about what time of day matches up to which activities. Overall, I was impressed by this little gem! I also think it'd be really fun for my crowd's storytime. less
