review 1: Me decidí a leer este libro porque el título me llamó la atención.No es un libro extraordinario, ni maravilloso. Su prosa es algo infantil (aunque es normal ya que el protagonista y narrador de la historia es un niño de 11 años), por lo que creo que es más un cuento que una novela en sí.Pues eso, es un bonito cuento con final feliz que te hace creer en la esperanza, en que todo puede mejorar y que si deseas las cosas de corazón, terminan por suceder. _________________I decided to read this book because the title caught my attention.It's not an extraordinary or wonderful book. His prose is childish (but that is normal because the main chacarter and narrator is an 11 year-old kid), so I think it is more a tale than a novel.So, it is a nice story with a happy ending... more that makes you believe in hope, that everything can improve and if you really want things to happen, they eventually will.
review 2: FISH CHANGE DIRECTION IN COLD WEATHER; First of all, I haven't taken up French. Secondly, this book is a gem. Set in Montreal, it is about an ice storm which sweeps the city, causing some members of one community to interact with one another in ways previously unheard of. A young boy (whose name we never learn) struggles to cope with his parents separation, a stripper grows closer to a Russian mathematician studying 4 fish, and a gay couple come out, refusing to hide any longer. It is simply written, and beautiful. Think 'Serendipity', only in Canada, during a storm. Magic. less
