review 1: Skye is recovering from the psychological effects of being in a car accident and losing the baby she was carrying. She has retreated from life, living in isolation. She was a forensic psychologist with the police. She is requested to help on a case before she feels ready. Slowly, she gets dragged into investigating. Her mental and emotional healing is as much a part of the story as the mystery of the murder. Brilliant book. At the end, I wanted to reread it. I am anxiously awaiting the next book. Warning: at the end there is a big question which is not answered. It will leave you hanging.

... morech frill and not enough thrill for the length of the story. The female protagonist wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she did have a family name and a bottomless bank account to bail her out of predicaments that most of us in the real world would never get through unscathed, if at all. For all the endless diatribe, the love scenes were brushed over as if with no thought given to them. Or maybe as if they were nothing more than an afterthought to add a little spice to the blah blah blah. less
