review 1: Oh my God! I have NEVER read a book like this before. I am enthralled with the talent of this author. While I have definitely experienced the physicality and emotions associated with the sexual act, this author has totally blown my mind! I have finally experienced, for lack of a better description, a mental orgasm. I laughed, smoldered, ached, burned, got angry, got confused, felt evil, felt purity, felt used, felt loved. I even cried. Angels, demons, Vampyre, humans, God, choices, free will, deception, honesty, evil, purity...all are included in this book. It is a stand alone book, yet is the beginning of a series. It is a full length book, yet I was so gripped by the tale, that I read it in less than 24 hours. Fallen angels who dare to hope for redemption. They... more find it in the human woman who demands entry into Pravus, a bar she stumbles upon. She has no clue of who they are, but her intuition tells her to beware. They all want her and will try anything to gain her trust so that she may choose. Throughout her intense journey, she learns more than she thought she could fathom. Self discovery is filled with pleasure, torment, confusion, love, lust, pain, fear, insanity, blistering coldness and searing heat. What or who will she choose? Read the book to find out.Sexually graphic: Mature readers only.
review 2: This was one helluva mind-boggling read. I'm honestly not sure if I can wrap my brain around what I just read. This was dark supernatural erotica at it's best. You are not only thrown into the world from the POV of the main character, you are suffocated by it. Seithe is some kind of something...IDK he is just...WOW. There are no words. Phoebe is a very strong willed female and from the moment they encounter each other the chemistry is undeniably scathing. Seithe works to open up Pheobe's senses and free will all the while doing it in the most sadistic fashion. Phoebe then encounters others of Seithe's kind and they all have an agenda and Phoebe becomes the center of it. She then has to figure out on her own who is telling the truth and who is totally screwing her (no pun intended)... This is a really intense book, spiritually deep and well thought out. It brought out a lot of emotion that I was in knots at times. I look forward to the next book in the series. less
