review 1: Outback Dreams is another winner for Rachael Johns. She creates Australian outback towns with seeming ease and it's impossible not to be immersed in them. This is a friends to lovers story which I adore. Monty is fixed on his goal of becoming a farmer and his work ethic is admirable while Faith is stuck in a rut she's not sure how to get out of. Having been best friends all their lives it comes as a shock to both when they start seeing the other in a more romantic way. Johns doesn't make things easy for them and it's their issues which made me plough through the story to find out how they were going to be resolved. Fantastic story and well worth reading.
review 2: Very enjoyable read, set in outback Australia. In lots of ways reminded me of an old time romance
... more. Focus on the issue of autism in the family and the experience of grief and loss when a mother and wife dies made this book an interesting read. I know very little about autism, although it is a syndrome that has more awareness amongst us these days. I was happy to get a small insight that was positive and charming. less
