review 1: More of a 3.5 stars.I read Glass Houses last September and I didn't really enjoy it..but at the start of this month I felt like giving the second book a go.It was a lot more fast paced compared to the first book, I really like the writing in this series, so witty and it made me laugh out loud a few times.I'm going to read the third one soon as this one kind of ended on a bit of a cliff hanger.
review 2: So, I have been telling myself that I need to try out the Morganville Vampire series. I had heard of it, but was kind of uncertain. And I have to say that I am really glad that I decided to pick up Volume One rather than book one. Well-written and with characters that are easy to relate to, at least for me, The Glass House draws you into the world of Morganvi... morelle and Dead Girl's Dance convinces you that you really don't want to leave. Rachel Caine has brilliantly created this world that makes me curious. I want to know more. You want to read more. I would very much recommend the series to others who enjoy vampires, especially ones that are actually intimidating, something the Morganville vampires pull off brilliantly. less
