review 1: This book was absolutely delightful. the writer has an incredible imagination. She develops the characters breathing life into them. they became treasured wonderfully alive. I love her exploration of memories being passed not just genes but genes with feelings connected to memories. A great deal and factual significant. The other aspect of this book I treasure was the magic sprinkled in this mystery as layers of the wonder of our creation; *Plants stars animals and even moths. This writer's love of life and and or earth shine through. she has a tremendous gift. This read is a scrumptious treat.
review 2: After reading the Glass Painter's daughter, i decided to read this book. The story line is much more interesting and complex. But i felt there were one or t... morewo details that weren't addressed or maybe I just missed them in the book. Generally in any story, you can see the ending already half way through the book but this storyline kept me guessing until the very end, even if the possibility that this could happen is pretty small :P Highly recommended! less
