review 1: (Genre:Children's fiction) 3.5 stars. I read this book out loud to our family on a recent road trip and we all enjoyed it. Justin is a third grader that has serious "worry" issues and the book is written in a diary format, as Justin describes his daily adventures at school as well as at home. There were definitely funny moments that made us laugh and my 9 year old really enjoyed it. Cute story. I think we will try the sequel...
review 2: My soon-to-be second grader loved this book. I enjoyed reading it aloud to him, too. The author does an excellent job of exploring the complexities of elementary school friendship and social situations in a way that is both honest and humorous, and relatable for her readers. We also enjoyed the second book (my son read that ... moreone to himself, I read it later, and now he is re-reading it) and hope there are more to come. less
