review 1: I cannot lie, I have a severe book hang-over right now. I am still sniffling as I write this review. I could hardly read the last three chapters through my tears, and finishing this book meant that I was also finishing this series. ---sigh---This book was filled with a lot of drama, sadness, passion and every other emotion you can name. We find Kaylee continuing to make huge sacrifices in order to save her "family". We see the bonds between all familial parties (blood and otherwise) growing stronger and stronger. So I say, thank you. Thank you Rachel Vincent for a great journey and maybe we can look forward to a spinoff?
review 2: This book oh my gosh, I am literally trying to hold back tears. It was so intense and I love this series so much and the characters ... moreare so well written and even the secondary ones. I love... Everything was just too much and I literally wanna cry because it was so sad and good at the same time. The situation felt so real and gritty and wasn't very sugar coated at all and sometimes sacrifices aren't that pretty and I'm just ranting right now because I'm still emotional. I don't know why but whenever Nash and Kaylee are together I feel like I'm about to cry because I still vote for team Nash and their lost love even though Tod is great I still like the chemistry that was once between Nash and Kaylee and what they've been through and even though it worked out for the best this series literally gave me a roller coaster ride of emotional ups and downs. The angst, action, the dire situation and the sweet moments that made this series so amazing ugh no words no words. The ending was great and it felt like I was in the book and I felt what Kaylee felt when she saw everybody grown up and so much time has passed and as I'm writing this I'm starting to tear up again. Will I ever find a series that was good as this? Will I? It's been a long time since a series has made me cry and you know it's a good book if it invokes tears from you, and laughter and all that other good stuff. I'm really gunna miss these characters. They're my favorite set and now I'm leaving them. I really give props to the author for writing such a wonderful story and I felt so connected and invested in the story and characters that this book will always be memorable. Thank goodness I gave this series a chance but now I'm really sad it's over. less
