…I went to Nashville AND…

Hey y’all. I’m back.

It’s officially 2018 and I took my first trip to start the NEW YEAR!

I went to Nashville, TN with two of my friends for New Year’s and I must say that spontaneous trips are always the best ones. Backseat riding, listening to trap music and ooh’ing and aah’ing over the pretty Louisville lights for 4 hours basically summed up the way there.

I recently turned 21 (yay!) so I was even more excited because I could finally get into real clubs and purchase (legal :]) alcohol for the first time. We got to Nashville at like 9 or 10, which was either 10 or 11 back home. The hour difference threw me off a lot because wow. Never would’ve thought it would have been that awkward.  We pre-gamed and I bought some Henny because…you know, #HTIP!

Like I said, I was able to get into real clubs & officially purchase drinks. The first club we went to was pretty diverse, typical techno-clubbish, robotic music. I didn’t care though. I had cranberry juice intertwined with Crown Apple. My first time indulging in such a great drink. I’m a Patron type of girl, so I shocked myself by enjoying the Crown. I never buy drinks in the club, people usually do that for me so I was even more shocked to realize that my little basic Crown was $9.50. AND THEY HAD THE NERVE…the nerve to charge me an extra dollar. Lol. Shocking. It was cool, we stayed for about twenty minutes and club hopped, yet again.

The next club we went to was diverse also, but had a majority white crowd. I’m a Black girl, from Dayton, OH…in Tennessee. That alone said enough. Anyways, the music was cool and yet again, I wanted another drink. This time, I had Sex on the Beach. I really want to know why it’s called that but whatever. It was kind of strong and also kind of nasty, I tried to drink it all but the more I drank I felt myself about to relive my 21st birthday weekend (N E V E R A G A I N) and yet, that story is for another day. Anyways, I drank as much as  I possibly could have and danced with the literal most coolest white guy I had ever met. It was like…coffee and cream really met in human form.

Finally, we went to a club called Plush. The club fit its’ name because it literally was nice. They played allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll da hits. Literally. Tennessee loves the heck out of Young Dolph and that definitely shows. He’s like their hometown hero or something. I realized that Bodak Yellow needed to be left in 2017 because it’s totally overplayed and corny now. Sis has released new music that bodied that song like Bartier Cardi ft 21 Savage. (GET INTO IT SIS’S!)

For NYE, we went downtown and didn’t actually make it into any clubs. It was basically crazy as heck downtown. Places were charging $60 to go into the club and who about to pay that? Not me. I don’t even pay to club in my hometown, so I definitely ain’t doing it else where unless it’s $20 and under. We settled at this Italian restaurant with trash service and great water. We basically counted down there. So basically, I ain’t do much of nothing but stray away from the cold while my feet were in agony because of frostbite & long walks around downtown. It was cool overall and I had Cookout for the first time which was uh-maze-eeeng. We need one here in Dayton.

Get into this outfit though (All from F21 and mostly on clearance):
  • Shirt: $15
  • Pants: I can’t remember, purchased in 2016.
  • Shoes: $9, they were originally $37.50 but they were hideous until then.
  • Beret: $12
  • Me: PRICELESS
