Hello there!!!
It’s me again. So, today I’m going to make a review of the last book of the Perfect series (or some of you call it the Merridew sister series).
Okay, the Perfect kiss was such a perfect wrap up of the series. It is the story of the youngest Merridew sister Grace on her journey to find her true love, or we can say that it’s her journey to make sure that the man in front of her eyes was her true love because there is no other man involved, you guys!! Oh, but there was another woman involved, ugh! Always hated that kind of rivalry actually moreover when it was between two friends. However, this involvement of the other woman is different from the second book when Sebastian Reyne was being such a rock head insists on marrying lady Elinore because of his duty to find a mother figure for his sisters, duh!
So, the story began when Grace Merridew was on her mission to rescue her friend from a forced marriage. She disguised herself as a hired companion for Melly Pettifer as Greystoke, there he met Dominic Wolfe who stands to inherit a huge estate if he weds Grace’s friend. However, it turns out that Grace was the one who fell in love with Dominic, despite his reputation as a bully. And it takes everything for Dominic to realize that he also felt the same way about Grace. However, his enormous estate that he was so eager to sell, was at stake. If he failed to marry Sir John’s daughter, he can’t get the claim of the estate. However, love conquers all as always, Grace brought so many changes to the estate, and that was why he knows that Grace was his destiny after all.
Grace and Dominic’s story was reminding me of Prudence and Gideon’s story. I always love Grace since her appearance on the Perfect Rake, she has a bubbly character and so very brave just like her eldest sister. And Dominic’s character also (just like most of Gracie’s male character) was full of wit and very brave. Dominic was not as mysterious as the other three male character but he still held a mystery if his own, his ironic background, the real reason why he despises his estate so bad.
I quote some sentences from the last chapter, “When you first met Grace, what was it about her that struck you?” Dominic thought for a moment. “Her foot. She kicked me. Twice!” Gideon glanced at the others in triumph and said, “The limb kicked him! I knew it! We have love match on our hands!”
There! Gideon, full of wit until the very end! That’s why I will always pick him as my most favorite male character from the Perfect series. Dominic and Nicholas maybe in a tie as a runner-up and I feel sorry for Sebastian, but he is my least favorite of all, he was just plain and boring compared to the other three.
Overall rating: 8.5/10
That was a wrap for the Perfect series, I will be reviewing the Mccabe brother series next!
