review 1: Here is where the conflicts of iZombie really come to a head, as a zombie uprising gathers Gwen and friends, the newly introduced Dead Presidents, the Vampire Paintball squad, and Horatio and the Fossor organization into conflict and uneasy alliance. There are lots of great moments in this book; Gwen and Amen playing skeeball, Gwen and Horatio exploring the catacombs, and pretty much everything with the Dead Presidents is funny and fun. There's some strong back story added, and the whole zombie threat plays out wonderfully. I can't wait to read the next volume and see where it goes from here.
review 2: Looks like things are finally coming together. It took the introduction of yet another category of oddly supernatural people to get the ball rolling. I'm not q... moreuite sold on the Dead Presidents yet, though they are appealingly weird enough to fit in with the rest of the cast. But there's only one more volume after this, and I'm getting concerned about how all of these many, many plot threads will get wrapped up. less
