Saving face in Thai culture is like someone in Missoura protecting their reputation. The idea behind saving face is nobody wants to lose face. Most folks don’t want to be embarrassed or look like a fool. A few in Thailand take it up a notch. Some might say “yes” when they mean “no” or “don’t know.” Sure lengthens ones trip when asking for directions. Our rule is ask three times.
They said that there are approximately 50 muscles in our faces and exercising them will help with eye strain along with neck and facial tension. They believe that working on the facial muscles can help give you a more attractive face to show the world. They don’t have a face.
The Army can make a soldier do an about face. Over and over. Basically, the military’s way of going in a circle. Come to think of it, I did a lot of about face with Uncle Sam.
