Synopsis:
Things should be great for Janie—she has graduated from high school and is spending her summer with Cabel, the guy she’s totally in love with. But deep down she’s panicking about how she’s going to survive her future when getting sucked into other people’s dreams is really starting to take its toll.
Things get even more complicated when she meets her father for the very first time—and he’s in a coma. As Janie uncovers his secret past, she begins to realize that the choice thought she had has more dire consequences than she ever imagined.

In Gone, Janie thinks about her life as a Dream Catcher and her future. However, life gets complicated when a stranger comes into her life and that stranger ends up being her father. Drama and secrets come out and Janie does not know what exactly is she supposed to do.

After finishing this book, I realized there was an overall story arc that I haven’t noticed before. Each book dealt with the ability of being a Dream Cather differently. The first book was being introduced to the ability. The second book was dealing with the ability. The third book is about the future of the ability.

Janie discovers secrets about his family as her father comes back into her life. However, it wasn’t in the best way possible. As she deals with her personal life, and her abilities of being a Dream Catcher, she realizes that there may be some consequences. The consequences may not be the best for her and she decides she has to do something about it.

Overall, I think this book was the best out of the three in the series. My reasoning is due to the fact the the ability of being a Dream Catcher is fleshed out more than any of the other books. More details and facts were brought it and it finally made Dream Catching more understandable to what it actually is. The Wake series is a good series to read if you just want to read something fairly quick.
