Attending Tom Petty’s Last Concert… EVER?!

Hello everybody!

So I wasn’t planning on making a post about this, but with news of Tom Petty passing away, I thought I would make an appreciation post.

Last week I attended a Tom Petty concert at the Hollywood Bowl. He told the audience that it was his last show of a long tour, and there was no better place to end it than in beautiful Los Angeles.

I thought it was pretty cool that I was attending his last show of the tour, but crazy enough, it ended up being his last performance ever.

Tom Petty danced and sang and told us stories from when his band first got together. I can’t believe that that was only a week ago, and now he’s gone… It’s insane how life works out that way.

Of course my favorite number of the night was Free Falling; I especially loved the moment when he sang “I wanna glide down over Mulholland” because I was literally looking at Mulholland drive as he sang that! It’s right above the Hollywood Bowl! It was also cool when he sang the verse “All the vampires walkin’ through the valley, Move west down Ventura Blvd” because now that I live in Los Angeles, I know exactly what he’s talking about! In fact, I live in the Valley!

That night was one that I will always remember. God bless the legend Tom Petty, and may he rest in peace ❤

xx
