review 1: So am a HUGE fan of Lisa Kleypas and her novels... but the one story I didn't seem to enjoy as much (and that EVERYONE seemed to love) was Devil in Winter, were a socially-awkward spinster and a devilish rake run away for a marriage of convince and elope in Scotland. In Devil in Winter, while the hero rake's character was fleshed out entirely too well, the heroine, Evie, felt flat (in my opinion).This was not the problem in a Week to be Wicked. Both the hero and heroine were equally fleshed out, well-rounded characters. What I liked was the warmth and humor in this story, as well as the unexpected plot twists and adventure. I wasn't exactly sure what was going to happen next, and I liked that.I found it a creative and entertaining read. I liked the characters (although I f... moreound it annoying how the hero kept changing his mind. He did agree to run away with her, only to change his mind, then do run away after all... He wants to be with the heroine, and then feels he's not worthy, and then he feels worthy...!). Overall, a good and entertaining read. I'd recommend it.
review 2: As a woman of science, this book is going to probably be one of my favourites. I think I'll long remember the story line of the young woman who got herself into a scientific society and had her findings published in a time when women were frivolous and decorative (at least in upper class society). And Colin's story is just so gut-wrenching that you cannot help but feel for him. What an wonderful pair. less
