Hey everyone! I’m taking part in Authors for Indies this year, and I’m working with Café Books up in Canmore, Alberta! Authors for Indies is on April 29th, and it’s a day dedicated to your local independent bookstore, who serve a great purpose to our communities, and help spread the love and joy of reading.
Two amazing authors have been booked for appearances, and they are Kevin Van Tighem and Leanne Shirtliffe!
A little bit about the authors:
Kevin is a great writer, who focuses on conservation and wildlife. His newest book, Our Place is “a collection of essays and articles that reflect upon the ecology, conservation history, missed opportunities and emerging possibilities of a place that could have been about so much more than oil”. It’s so relevant to our lives and future, so going to meet him at Café Books would be a great opportunity for anyone interested!
Leanne is, what I like to call, an everyone author – she’s got children’s AND adult credits to her name. For the little one in your life, she’s got No More Beige Food and Saving Thunder the Great, which are fun reads! While you’re picking these up, you definitely should get Don’t Lick the Minivan for yourself, because hey, every parent needs a little (ok, a LOT) of humour in their lives!
