Balancing our social responsibilities with prayer and contemplation

Legacy of the Divine Tarot in Orphalese

Well, I believe life is a Zen koan, that is, an unsolvable riddle. But the contemplation of that riddle – even though it cannot be solved – is, in itself, transformative. And if the contemplation is of high enough quality, you can merge with the divine.

The King of Wands corresponds with Sagittarius and could be seen as the ruler of the Festive Season. Hate it or love it, chances are your social engagement is about to climax in the next couple of weeks.

However, the Hermit archetype is not going away until the New Year. He is still there, waiting for you to reconnect because he knows that you just go-go-go and don’t take any time for yourself to pray, meditate, journal and contemplate you may very well fly off the handle or lose the plot completely.

And in truth, the King of Wands does have a contemplative side. He is the Philosopher King as well as the Entertainer King. Which of those traits is more dominant depends on if his yearning to connect with the Divine is stronger than his desire to connect with other people.

‘Too much of a good thing…’ Listen carefully to the silence under the festive din. You may miss an important message otherwise…

Love,

Lisa
