review 1: 3.5 stars. Great exposition of the world and the mental states of the characters, especially Connor. This was enjoyable (and only slightly disturbing in the sense that human beings would be so accepting of such a huge change in their make up). I was never certain about Emmet, but I was ok with the ending of the book. If there are more stories from this author in this universe, I'm definitely interested.
review 2: I'm not sure when I decided i really liked this book but I did. It's a different world where the genetically modified food makes people more dominant. That's not really important. But what's interesting is that some people become submissive, extremely so and out off vibes that more dominant males can sense. He needs protection, he needs a master to sav... moree him. He finds one in his boss David. It takes a while but there's some hot sex really really something for everyone hot sex and a disturbingly possible backstory of how quickly rights can disappear but ultimately this is a good read of a different type if M/s D/s world. Worth the read. less
