Bavaria Meets Berlin in the Heart of Brixton

As Oktoberfest fever comes to London this Autumn, the team behind Brixton Rooftop are offering an alternative to those who are looking for a bit more bite to their bratwurst. Taking thir influences from the underground beats of Berlin, this is a side step from the traditional knee-slapping shenanigans, but still offering all you would want from a Bavarian-based night out.

As the winter nights draw in, Brixton Beach is hanging up its speedos and swapping it for woolly Lederhosen at the opening weekend of their winter structure on Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th October. Get cozy and settle in for a hearty session in the fully covered and heated rooftop right in the heart of bustling Brixton.

Boasting the biggest selection of stein served beverages south of the river, no Oktoberfest celebration would be complete without a hand-picked variety of craft beers. For those who think beer is a bore, steins of cocktails or Prosecco are also on offer. For a premium experience, a limited number of pre-bookable tables or themed VIP booths are available to secure in advance. Drinks will be served by Bearded wenches at the benches for those looking for a saucier stein server.

The now renowned food traders at Brixton Rooftop will be dishing up their take on Bavarian classics, as they welcome back Mac to The Future, The Lambassdors and a special appearance by Herman Ze German all competing for your Deutsche mark.

Once on the roof, guests are invited to try their luck with the in-house bouncer to enter into das glückliche Zimmer a truly twisted Berlin-themed experience, where the right of admission is reserved at the discretion of the bouncer… when you know you know, right?

The Brixton Rooftop team will host a multitude of events and experiences over the course of the weekend. For those wanting to get involved, there will be a hosted program of Bavarian style games, Wurst Karaoke Ever, Bier Stein Pong and more. The venue, now known for it’s on point music policy, will not fail to deliver. In the spirit of the occasion, Brixton Rooftop will see Oompah bands performing covers of classic dance floor fillers, listed next to impressive DJ lineups with an extended 2 am license on the Friday and Saturday nights.

This is the alternative Oktoberfest where they promise to twist up all your senses like a pretzel and celebrate the seasonal change. PROST!
