Goodreads:

The one guy Bailey Rydell can’t stand is actually the boy of her dreams—she just doesn’t know it yet.

Becca McKenzie is happy—crazy, ridiculously happy.

She might not have figured out what she wants to do with her life, but she has something better—Ryan Jackson—and they couldn’t be more in love if they tried. He might have been pissed when she went off to a different college, but they make the long distance work because they’re “Becca and Ryan”, and nothing is going to break them.

Until it does.

Until one terrible, unforgettable night away from Ryan. Until too much drinking and one empty bedroom. Until fifteen minutes of hell completely destroys her life and leaves Becca questioning everything she’s ever known.
Until that night turns into a lie she can’t stop—can’t control.

Until she said no but he didn’t listen.

Damn.
Let me start with my feelings, rather whats left of it. This book was totally not what I expected. Unlike from the first book, it was way more serious, intense and less happy. Instead of the usual “Becca and Ryan” theme, Emma created a vivid and shocking read.

First, the writing was awesome. Everything was perfectly weaved and put together.
Second, I cried. Tons. And I barely cry when I read books; with an exception from See you at Harry’s. I cried for Becca, for ‘Becca and Ryan’, for the fact that everything between Becca and Ryan will always be different.

Throughout the book I was waiting for Becca to say something. Anything. To anyone. To Sam. To Ryan. To Jake. To her family.

And when she did, my heart tore into pieces again, watching everything that she put up to be broken in to pieces left for only her to pick up.

90 percent of the book, I hated Ryan. That 10 percent made it up in the epilogue.
Becca, she definitely matured since the first book. Although the factors that caused her maturity was heartbreaking. I was still surprised that she took back Ryan through all that.

Sam was definitely one of my favorite characters, even though she knew she should’ve spoke up about what happened with Becca, she took her best friends feelings in first.

Unlike the first book, Jake was a *beep. How could he? Turn his back upon his best friend without actual evidence?

Nevertheless, the worst character by far, was Ryan. He was supposed to be there for her, through everything no matter what happened before that. Of course, all my hatred for them dissipated as soon as Ryan and Becca finally confronted.

God, this book was a roller coaster that starts from the top than rockets down few hundred meters like the KingDa Ka in Six flags. Fun, but also gut-wrenching.
