The realistic illustrations of eggs and the baby gosling engage the reader. The reader goes through spring and the process of the egg hatching. The illustrations give a sense of texture of the wet down and then the cute baby. The story reads like a poem and is moving with its artistic feel.
Verdict: The artwork is attractive, and the story is like a poem.
