Celebrate Love / Crate Paper Hello Love

Hello! Welcome back to the blog. Today I’m sharing a layout I created with an older collection – Crate Paper Hello Love. This collection is one of my favorite ones because the colors are exactly up my alley and the florals are amazing. I have already created a few layouts with this collection but I still have so many things left, I decided to pull it out and have another play with it.

The black and white brush stroke paper is one of my favorites – I can’t resist a good black and white paper so I knew I wanted to use part of it on the background. I think this is a really cute picture of me and my boyfriend so I wanted to make a layout that has a lot of hearts so using a Valentines themed collection is perfect.

I’ve been really enjoying mixing different fonts to create my titles and I recently came across this gold foiled chipboard piece which is from the Maggie Holmes Confetti collection and I thought it would make a perfect (partial) title. The word ‘Love’ is something that comes back within the collection a lot so I had a lot of different options on how to finalize the title. I decided to leave it simple and go with some black letters to add an extra pop of black.

I love these (gold) resin hearts that came in the collection so I had to make sure to use at least one of them on the layout. I love the dimension it adds and you can never go wrong with a touch of gold!

This gorgeous floral ephemera piece was the first thing I selected when I started ‘composing’ this layout. I usually tend to hoard pretty elements but since this collection is over a year old and I still have so much left, I decided it was time to start using some of these elements or else they might never get used up (I’m sure some of you can relate to this).

There’s also a process video up on my Youtube channel if you are interested in seeing how this layout came together from start to finish;

In the video I am explaining why there might not be any (or fewer) videos for a while, however I will be hosting a iNSD sketch challenge over on the Citrus Twist Kits Facebook fan page this Thursday so make sure to stop by and check that out.

In other (scrappy related) news; my second collection ‘ Dream Big’ with Pretty Little Studio is now up for pre-order on their website. You can check it out here. I’m so excited about how this one turned out and can’t wait to see everything in person!

Thank you for joining me today, I hope you enjoyed seeing this layout and that you feel inspired to create. Have a wonderful week!

xo Claudia
