Day Two: Christmas TBR

Good morning my lovely bookbabes! How are you doing on this amazing December day? I hope you’re as excited for Christmas as I am. And if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you’re as excited for whichever holiday you celebrate, or just simply excited for the winter break that’s coming up!

So today is Day Two of my Thirteen Days of Christmas, and I’m very excited to share this with you. It’s my Christmas TBR list! Since I finally have some days off from classes, and a nice long break in-between my two finals this year, I have planned on reading some books that I actually want to read. And, this term for some reason was rather lacking in books to read… it was more just plays and poems, which I wasn’t too happy about but hey it’s alright next term is going to way make up for it.

So this Christmas I’m planning on reading:

  • Winter Street by Elin Hilderbrand
    • This book was recommended by one of the lovely ladies I follow on bookstagram to all her followers because she absolutely devoured the series. I’m very excited to dive in, seeing as it’s a rather small short read, and I’m hoping it will get me into the Christmas spirit! You should definitely check her out: @katereadsbooks_
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
    • This book is just the quintessential Christmassy Harry Potter book, in my opinion. All of them have such deep fall/winter vibes, though, so they’re all good to reread, no matter the time of year.
  • A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
    • Because you know what? I’ve never actually read this book before, but I have read A Cricket on the Hearth, and I’m feeling the need for some Christmassy short novels.
  • Midnights by Rainbow Rowell
    • I have a book that consists of many short stories concerning the holidays (you may know it… My True Love Gave to Me?) and Rainbow is one of my all-time favourite authors, so I’m wanting to have a little bit of Rainbow Christmas cheer this time of year.
  • A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
    • I read the first ‘Court of’ book in the summer and enjoyed it enough that I want to keep reading this series, and I feel like this time of year is kind of perfect to get it done.
  • Some Great Thing by Lawrence Hill
    • I do want to actually read a school book for next term, just to kind of ease my load (because there are a lot of novels lined up for me this coming year to read), so… I think this one will be good to read over the break. It seems super fun and light? I might be super wrong but we’ll find out.

So I do realize that this is a rather extensive list, but hey. Three of which are rather small, one is actually a short story and one could count probably for a novella, and one’s an old favourite. I can’t wait to hear what you guys plan on reading over the break! Let me know down below. Join in on my Thirteen Days of Christmas!

Happy Reading!

J
