“I have lived a life that has taught me to doubt myself, including traumatic events, and abandonment. However, my mother and grandmother instilled in me a strong sense of resilience. I don’t look like media would like, but I’ve come to realize I’m beautiful, inside and out. I don’t need to fit in a mold when I’m on a journey of empowerment. My hope is that other girls and women see me living my dream and follow their own.”
