Ingredients:
- 2 cups of all purpose flour and more for dusting
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp butter (cold and cubed)
- less than a cup of milk
- pinch of salt
What you will need:
- food processor or pastry cutter
- rolling pin
- knife or pizza slicer
In a food processor using the dough blade, add the flour, baking powder, salt and cold cubed butter and pulse until all butter is incorporated. Slowly add the milk to the top of the food processor until a sticky ball forms and the mixture clings to itself.
Dump out on a board that has been dusted with flour and roll into a ball and place in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This will help you when you are rolling out the dough.
When ready, roll out the dough into a thin dumpling layer. Cut long strips lengthwise with a pizza cutter and cut the strips again to make squares.
Voila…..these are the best, softest and most delicious dumplings!!! They literally melt in your mouth! You’ll make them again and again!
Tip: When rolling your dumplings out, be sure to use plenty of flour to assure that they do not stick.
