review 1: 3.5 Stars for this one Day 3 in the Training center for Brie and my curiosity which led me to read this series has transformed into fondness. Now i am totally hooked with Brie's story!!! Brie experiences her first heartbreak which was bound to happen and i wonder why she never thought that her beloved Sir would train another submissive except Brie since that was a training center not a love nest... I don't cheer for Sir but i felt a bit sorry for Brie, also i was very happy to see that she decided that the program was more important to her than Sir. She has seduced 3 trainers already and i'm looking forward to see her seduce the remaining ones(YES even the woman!) while i'm also waiting and hoping to see Brie choose a dominant only for herself and maybe even have a r... moreomantic relationship with him.
review 2: Brie #3 definitely got me more into the actual storyline. I haven't been very impressed with the overall story so far and I was glad that this volume really jump started the character growth necessary for a great read (that isn't only about sex).In this volume Brie really steps out of her comfort zone to learn what it really means to be a submissive. Personally, a D/s lifestyle does not appeal to me one way or the other but I will say that Mr. Gallant made a remark in class during this volume that actually made me feel a lot better about the entire submissive thing:Location 74-"It is important that you understand the power you have as a submissive. It is not a case of you being the inferior when you bow at your Dom's feet. The reality is your Dom only has the illusion of power.I loved that line, I actually felt like I breathed a sigh of relief right along with Brie. It really is an empowering thought to realize that as the submissive you actually have all the power. It was a great moment for me that allowed me to feel more open to the story that Phoenix is trying to share. On another note, I honestly don't care too much for Brie and Sir's relationship. I'm kind of a little bored with him and to be honest I felt that Marquis Gray has a much deeper and mysterious character. I haven't quite figured out what his intentions are or what his true feelings on Brie are but I do know that his scene with Brie has been one of my favorites so far and I am so excited to get to see him more throughout the story.I really feel for Brie in how the panel is so divided on their opinions of her and whether she should be able to continue with the program. I do understand both sides but I'm glad that Brie is getting the option to continue with her lessons. Through the first two volumes I was kind of worried that the entire series was going to be all about Brie pining for Sir and I really wasn't looking forward to volume after volume of her obsessing over him. But then Brie made a comment that made me feel so much better about her character and helped me trust in the author to develop a multifaceted individual who truly grows throughout her experiences.Location 425-With or without Sir, she was a submissive and this was her opportunity to delve into all the possibilities that world afforded.Loved it, totally hooked, panting for more!Disclaimer: Do not read if you have issue with extreme D/s lifestyle, DP, flogging, and/or pain as pleasure. less

2.5 stars but rounding up. A little low on plot and overly high on sex, but still hot
