The entrance of Marvel villains Dormammu and Firebrand has now been confirmed for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.
To kick off a week of Marvel Comics variant covers, a picture of the next Spider-Man vs. Deadpool issue’s alternate art was posted on the Facebook page for Marvel vs. Capcom. Featuring a clash between the dreaded Dormammu and fleet-footed Firebrand, the image was posted alongside confirmation of the characters’ entrance.
Additionally, gameplay footage of Dormammu and Firebrand has been confirmed for later this month. The two characters will have a special showcase at Gamescom in Germany on August 22.
The release of these two characters is particularly noteworthy because it confirms a rumored leak covered by B-Button Media in an earlier Marvel vs. Capcom article. An alleged full-roster leak of the new Marvel vs. Capcom appeared on the game’s official Reddit page early last month, and since then it has been proven right on many accounts. Only time will tell if the rest is proven right, but the images may be a good indicator for predicting future character announcements.
