review 1: I loved reading the first book with my daughter. When we found the second book, we bought it eagerly, even though it was in hard-cover. So I was surprised when she decided she didn't like the second book at all -- but after reading it myself, I have to agree. The characters are grating this time around, instead of charming. All the bickering among them is wearing. Leo still doesn't trust Mimi, but rather than confront her or try to understand her, he merely shoots her dark glances. ... morelled themselves "The Quest Team". The team receive a letter Muffy Clog, a wizard's apprentice, asking if they could help her nephew who has been transformed into a mushroom and arrested by Officer Begwood. She also requests them to search for Wizard Bing who has disappeared. This is not an easy task as Leo and Mimi left Rondo a week ago, leaving the Blue Queen unaware of their disappearance. less
