So you look in the mirror and no amount of compliments will ever change what you see. You stand there and let your eyes roam over every inch, silently critiquing. If only your thighs were smaller, your stomach flatter, your muscles more toned. Maybe if you were prettier, or more handsome, they would have stayed. Maybe they would have loved you back. You’d be so much happier without all the flaws.
But that’s just it.
People are flawed. Until you accept your own, you’ll spend all your life looking at that mirror and hating what you see. Trust me, you could look like a model and they still wouldn’t have stuck around. You could have what everyone deems as the perfect body and you’d still find something to hate.
Allow yourself to be happy with who you are. Loving yourself isn’t easy and there will be days when you just can’t do it but you’ve got to stop wasting precious mornings hating who you are. There is no one else like you so fall in love with your uniqueness.
You are an incredible human being and everyone knows it. You mean a lot to people and people mean a lot to you. You don’t love a little. You love a lot. Wholeheartedly and selflessly as if it is your mission to improve the lives of other people. You are talented. Multitalented. And you give those talents over to people, freely. When I look at you, I see pure goodness. I admire you. I respect you. You are bold and courageous. Your life brings joy to others. You uplift and inspire and motivate. You see the good in others. You smile like a child full of love and hope yet you discern like someone who has been around hundreds of years. It also doesn’t hurt that you are absolutely breathtaking. No, exquisite. The world is better because you exist. I am truly moved by you on a deep level. I respect you entirely too much to ever disclose this to you. You are worth so much more than that. I hope you continue to have a great life full of passion and meaning and truth. I hope the ripples you create in the sea of lives you touch can make their way around the globe and right back to you because you so deserve it. You are a rare gem. There aren’t many like you and I just hope you never lose yourself. I hope you always remain just the way you are because you are wonderful.
I know this girl, and she is just beautiful. I don’t even mean physically, although she is, I just mean everything about her is just beauty. She is stunning but it’s really her voice and her laugh and her happy, wonderful, kind attitude that shine through. She’s honestly like personified sunlight and I find it amazing to be around her. She’s beautiful the way I say the moon is beautiful, the way I say the air and the soft sun reflecting on the snow is. I really see God inside her she’s just so unbelievable and she has no idea I see her this way.
