Jeff Ward (November 18, 1962 – March 19, 1993)
Jeff Ward was a drummer for multiple industrial bands in Chicago during the early 90’s. He committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in 1993. Jeff Ward struggled with heroin addiction and couldn’t seem to kick it no matter how hard he tried, which could’ve contributed to his decision to end his life. He died when he was only 30 years old. Richard Patrick wrote the song It’s Over for his band Filter about Jeff. They were friends and band mates when they were both in Nine Inch Nails. Jeff Ward and Al Jourgensen, from the band Ministry, became very close friends and were in many projects together.
