The thing I love most about Boise is the proximity to family. The second thing is celebrating Holidays with said family. I lived in Hawaii for nearly nine years and while I had many friends who became family, being across an ocean meant you only see your blood relatives once or twice a year. And rarely were those times around Holidays. I assumed when we moved to Boise we’d spend the major Holidays together – Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving. I had no idea we’d celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. It was blast! We may not be 100% Irish, but we are certainly Irish enough to have a good time.
