Ah, the Lamborghini Veneno. Car? Super-car? Hyper-car?
The real-world car has only 5 units made (Car Zero is for Lamborghini’s very own museum), three of which are sold to customers. Lucky for everyone else in the world, they can get the Veneno in the form of little toy cars.
I’ll begin with saying that I’m not a fan of Lamborghinis –they’re technological marvels, but I don’t dig them personally.
And I find Hot Wheels’ casting of the Veneno rather… strange. It’s not a bad casting by any means, you can tell it’s a Veneno. But it feels a bit fat.
Maybe it’s the large rear wheels? I’m not entirely sure.
The Gran Turismo livery and choice of wheels here is a definite plus to the casting, especially since that futuristic rear-light is finally detailed in.
However, I feel its slightly out of place in this set, and there’s nothing to really shout about with this release. The colour? Maybe? I don’t know.
Maybe I should just give it some time to grow on me.
