I knew as soon as I read that blurb, I was in for a ride of emotions, but I didn’t care because I KNEW this book would be good. Just the writing in Heartbreak Hotel is beautiful, let alone everything else. The way Yaz and Hawk are when together is truly beautiful. They are complete opposites, but that’s what makes them work so well together. Oh and the passion between these two is ignitable. It is all consuming, intoxicating and captivating all at once. Throughout the book you get to see them grow up together and then grow together.

Out of the many friends to lovers books I have read, this one by far is the best. It is heartbreakingly, achingly gorgeous on so many levels. I just can’t even tell you besides saying that my chest ached the whole time I read this book. It was like I was a part of the story and with them. I felt it all down to my soul. I will always treasure this book for the gem that it is. It reminds you to keep going and keep the faith in humanity, even at its darkest. Now if that isn’t beautiful, I don’t know what is.
