review 1: This book ways a ticket into the life of a pre- teen girl, but not just any girl, this girl is a serious gymnast with a lot of decisions to make. I liked this book, because it felt very real, and I felt like I just jumped into the story and watched it all happen. It was like seeing a movie. I could feel the same emotions as the characters did, when I read about it. This is a great book for someone who likes to go beyond reading the book, someone who wants to be part of the book.
review 2: Joey loves to do gymnastics with her best friend Alex. But Alex feels like dropping out of gymnastics because of her broken ankle and Joey feels upset because Alex has always done gymnastics with Joey and the had dreams that they would be doing the beam together but Joey would... moren't let anybody crush her dreams of being a gymnastism and winning a gold medal. Joey is determined because she doesn't care what people say about her she really wants to win gold and and now that Alex isn't there to support her on beam Joey thinks she might forget the routine. Joey is also determined because she really wants her parents to be there and she and her sister tried to convince their parents to go watch Joey on beam but the didn't want to see Joey get hurt. less
