In 2017 I’ve fallen in love with some shows focused on relate-able black characters such as Insecure, Atlanta, Dear White People, Queen Sugar, and Star to be exact. It makes me very excited to see characters I can see myself in, and even more excited to see what’s in store for 2018. There has been talks of Issa Rae developing new series for HBO, and right now black shows are trending for Hollywood (Seems like we’re always a trend in Fashion and Hollywood) so expect to see more in 2018. This is all refreshing because My favorite shows before were shows that would only have the token black person, who barely had any lines.
Can we get a R.I.P for The Get Down? Why Netflix? I need a proper ending Please!
