Rock Solid
Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde
(Book Boyfriend #4)
Publication Date: November 14, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Connor Prescott doesn’t do one night stands (yes, ladies, he’s an anomaly) so when he meets a beautiful woman during a snowed in night at the airport who wants to forget her heartache, he makes an exception. Their night together is incendiary, and by morning Connor wants more . . . except his sexy stranger is gone. He’s pretty sure he’ll never see her again, until three and a half years later she finds him, and changes his entire world with three little words . . . You’re a daddy.
Review:
Rock Solid is one sweet love story of a one night stand that turned out to be something more. Connor and Katie’s little meet-cute is so heartwarming that you just can’t help but say, “Awww” after reading the first few chapters. It was also hilarious to read how Connor felt when he got ghosted by Katie, which was a total first for him.
Not to mention Connor and Katie’s chemistry was totally off the charts insane! Their Valentine’s Day rendezvous is one memorable night to remember. I’d honestly think that even without the child that they shared together, they’d still be totally into each other. But still, Val gave them another reason to meet again.
Valentine’s name is also a reminder on how much the night she shared with Conner meant to Katie. Even though she went out of her way to avoid meeting him again the next day, unconsciously, she still found a way to immortalize the memories they shared through their daughter.
While their love story may be three years too late, it was so sweet to read how they were able to reconnect and fall in love with each other all over again. In the end, Connor’s love and sincerity was able to resonate with Katie until she realized that Connor is the rock solid kind of guy that she needs.
I haven’t read the rest of Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde’s Book Boyfriend series, but judging by how much I loved this one, I’m definitely going to read the rest of the books real soon!
