Our book tag is a great book tag, don’t miss it, don’t even delay. It’s dollars to donuts that our book tag is the book tag for all books.
Yes boys and girls it’s that time of the week again when I entertain you with a Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Musical inspired book tag. This week we are going to travel to the State Fair of Iowa featured in the 1945 Movie. Unfortunately the soundtrack and movie are comprised of a few songs repeated multiple times hence why this week it’s a bit shorter.
One of the great things about TGWCTM is the that Emily gets to experience all these fun traditions of Mullaby, North Carolina. Like a BBQ festival and see the Mullaby Lights. It makes the book even more fun and magical.
I believe that the Cake Therapist takes place in spring because Clair, the MC, is a baker and is being hired to do multiple wedding cakes. The cover is also covered in fun, light springy colors.
For those of you who know anything about me or saw the review for this book you know that this is literally me made into a book. It’s got engineering and math and science AND MAGIC! Verity is a girl that dreams of being in one of her favorite books but is also intrigued by both the side of magic and the Rebel Mechanics she meets.
Mad About the Hatter is a very fun and whimsical story that was actually my first literary peak into Wonderland. It feels very lighthearted and exactly how Wonderland would be. While not by Lewis Carroll it pays plenty of homage to his beloved characters. Very fun and very short. Perfect light read.
Fruits Basket is one fun series, both Anime & manga. Tohru’s positive nature is very infectious and you just can’t help but feel happy and nostalgic when reading them. Especialy with the new collector’s editions that are in the process of coming out. Plus who can frown when Momiji is in the scene.
I don’t know what is exactly about the books by Sarah Addison Allen, but i get a sense of home when reading them. I’m not from the south, so it’s not that. maybe it’s just how the books seem to hug you and wrap you in warm as you read these magical stories. I’d say First Frost reminds me of home right now because it’s ALWAYS COLD and there’s frost on my car. XD
