Dannii Minogue drops first single in ten years
Oh my God, Dannii Minogue is really back and it took her 10 years! I know, it does not really feel thát long, because we were used to seeing her face on the X Factor UK and Australia for quite a few years in between! The Australian pop star sort of returned earlier this year with the track ‘Holding On’, which was actually already a year old, but this time we know it’s for real! The brand new single is called ‘Galaxy’ and Minogue immediately released a video with it, in which she of course looks stunning. Will Minogue make her way back to the top of the charts?
In terms of pop stardom, Dannii always had to deal with the shadow of you know who, her bigger sister, but let us not forget she actually had some proper hit singles as well, with tracks like ‘Who Do You Love Now?’ ‘Put A Needle On It’ and ‘I Begin To Wonder’ in the late 90s and early noughties. New track ‘Galaxy’, co-written by Australian hit machine Sia, is in line with Dannii’s most popular work. The rhythm of the keys is taken straight from the 90s and that soaring chorus takes you back to that time too. We will have to see if it is current enough to make any waves in the charts these days, but this is a wonderful treat to her fan base either way. At least it makes me want to jump on a plane to Australia and dance the night away to this tune in a club in Sydney!
