Back in June, Daphne and I went for a very impulsive trip to the united kingdom to catch Coldplay and we thought that since we’re in UK, why not make a short excursion to somewhere near (europe) ? We were torn between Amsterdam and Paris. But we end up picking Paris cuz looks like two girls to Amsterdam might go wrong… Well, I’ve been two years ago with my current lover *blush* but I think it will be a complete different feeling to travel with your closest friend. Daph hasn’t been to Europe, so it is kinda my role to make sure she enjoyed Paris.
It’s my second time this time, to Paris, we took. I personally think that taking train is convenient although I recall the last time I took a flight, practically the exact same cost. I basically did all the booking cuz Im the best friend ever lolll.
Anway here’s a couple of tips about travelling with your bestfriend!
1. PICK THE FINEST AIRBNB STAY.
I have saved heaps of nice Airbnb stays in Paris and I think it’s an excellent idea to remain like a Parisian. To start with, it is not more expensive compared to most hotels, better still, you can find genuinely exceptional stays. Due to fashion week, most of the nice ones were shot and some of the prices went higher. I’m glad we found one perfect stay! It’s exactly like the pictures shown on Airbnb listing. We did not get to meet our host Stephanie but she’s kind enough to offer us a bottle of red wine as a welcome gift ( yes we gracefully accepted her gift lolll. ) One drawback about Parisian flats is they largely do not have lifts, only stairway, and we are on level 3, I’m not sad that we simply have our handcarries for 2 nights.
2. TOURIST GOT TO DO WHAT TOURIST GOT TO DO.
We surely did go to some of the trendiest cafes in Paris although it is funny how we did not have any french food during our trip except for some Pierre Hermé macarons.

– Famed for their pancakes! Go in the morning cuz they only serve pancakes before 12pm, I had it two years ago, unfortunately this time Daph did not get to taste them:/

I think we did had a great time, although end up, Daphne wasn’t a huge fan of Paris cuz some of the Parisian we met were quite anal. Met a fine girl who brought us to her fashion exhibition while taking UberPool, bump into our KL buddies who are there for their fashion showcase, passed by Kanye’s Pablo pop-up store and did not purchase shit cuz the line was enormous and additionally made it to most of Paris’ landmarks.
I believe it is really important to know who are you travelling with. It’s great if your best friend and you have precisely the same interest and you both should be appreciative on the attempt to travel together. Make an effort to plan ahead on areas to go, and make certain you both get to go places you both want to. Keep calm and have fun together!!
