During the Christmas period, we relied heavily on pre-made food for Robin, I mentioned before that she had lost some weight and I had started to spoon feed her along with her having finger food as well to help her gain weight back that she lost from when I switched to finger food only so naturally I was on the look out for some new treats that we’ve not tried before..
Entering Heavenly Squishies, they are basically smoothies and perfect for little hands to hold and of course the perfect size for pack lunches or the changing bag plus the lids are resealable so if they aren’t finished you can pop the lid back on for later but refrigerate as soon as possible like any food product, we found ours at our local sainsburys but you can find them anywhere and there are four pouches in a box.
They are designed for 6 months plus but I truly believe there is no age limit with smoothies and Robin loves them, I think shes pleased that she can hold these and eat away at them to her hearts content.. and I love that shes getting some fruit other than her usual blueberries.
What I think I love the most about them is the fact that they are made with coconut milk and there for vegan and of course friendly to those children who cannot have dairy, I have recommended them to my good friend who’s little girl suffers from an array of food allergies, I am always on the hunt for little snack ideas for her as I know how hard it is to find pre-made food with no dairy in it at all.
They are made with only fruit, nothing added not even water so what you are giving them is purely fruit and coconut milk with a little bit of added lemon juice with just natural sugar from the fruit, no nasty things added and I know how important it is to make sure children keep their sugar limit down.
Heavenly Squishies are simply just the nicest things I have found from shopping around and I make sure that I grab a box whenever I see them in stores and I’m excited to experiment with them by adding them to her morning porridge and also putting them into the freezer for the summer months so everyone can enjoy some fruity ‘ice cream’ to cool themselves down.
